Did a little work for our church after we dropped a big pine for a neighbor. A couple years ago, we took down a big sweet gum and a couple smaller trees in our church yard, and later another guy dropped a big pine there.
We found out the trustees were wanting the stumps gone...a good time to pay the blessing forward...
Brought the Kubota L4802 and Woodland Mills stump grinder over...
Used the Stihl XS400 to lower the stump a bit... Messenger_creation_70E7DD30-9343-48E4-9288-72C2CA5B771E.jpeg It was still very solid Messenger_creation_2CE69498-9241-4021-BF3B-7D8FD0AFC1A4.jpeg
    Let's get to grinding... Messenger_creation_E8660E0F-F8F2-4803-8C2A-CBEA3F240E2D.jpeg
Our neighbor, Randy, came over and was the rake man, he kept the chips back so we could see the stump. He's the guy we cut the pine for. Messenger_creation_2FA480A7-9083-4119-A5B5-2495F47B0EBF.jpeg
Got the pine stumps finished, a small one was in front of the big one, then moved over to the sweet gums... Messenger_creation_EEEECE61-300B-4A97-AF90-6306861EC2B5.jpeg
Got that area leveled out... Messenger_creation_CEF23C46-74C5-4A92-BCE3-724EB8DEBEB0.jpeg
There was an oak stump in the back where folks park sometimes... Messenger_creation_B86F37D9-FCED-4AB8-81C2-E1C41449C343.jpeg
    It's gone too... Messenger_creation_CF9B4479-A112-402B-A002-61DE4739B99D.jpeg
We're thankful for all the blessings GOD has poured out on us.

Good job Jeff. A video of that grinder working would be cool.

We have one of the first time we used it. Hope I've gotten smoother with it since then...

Thanks, must have missed that. I’m pretty impressed with how the neighbors Woodland sawmill works. They may not have the big expensive name but it functions just as well as the big names.

Looks like a fun machine to use.

I had to chuckle at the first pic as it looks like you were going to cut the bench in half.

We decided to build a light pole for Blue Samson that would run on 12v. Got my shift mechanic at work to weld it up. 1 1/4" conduit fits inside the umbrella stand that's mounted on the splitter and a piece of conduit strut is the cross piece... 20260115_121403.jpg
Got the pair of 3" cube lights and a 4 light wiring harness on sale from Advance Auto...right hand light is a 4" cube from ebay. 20260115_144454.jpg
Didn't have room for the 10" light bar we wanted to mount in the center, so found a 4.5" cube that's even brighter...this is the 4" and 4.5" cubes 20260124_093458.jpg
Got a new battery installed the other night and tried the lights in the dark.
The 2 3" pods are aimed at the front and operator station
    20260126_190321.jpg
The 4" pod is aimed at the log lift/rounds area... 20260126_190403.jpg
And the 4.5" pod is aimed at the extension table, stacking area. 20260126_190425.jpg
I think this project was a success. Just need to tidy up the wires on the pole.

Looks like they really do a good job of lighting up the work area!

Thats a sweet set up! No one can say you're in the dark when it comes to making firewood.

Shouldve gotten a heat lamp as well to dry the splits as they come off the hydro! :D

That might make the power bill go up...lol...
This will be easier to set up when we move the splitter around. And we can still use the ladder and clamp on lights in a different area if needed.

Almost 10 cords of premium white oak and hickory...

This tote finished it up...had to add a little red oak to top it off. 20260130_222405.jpg
