    Good morning, members.

    About 5inches of snow to move. 29⁰/34⁰ sun to make an appearance eventually.

    Driveway cleared. Came in for breakfast before going back out.

    Be safe

    A late good morning to FHC today.

    Yesterday during Holy Mass, I noticed two men wearing their hats. They never removed them.

    The two of them were both older than I am and makes me wonder just why they attended but wouldn't choose to show respect?

    Morning all. Slept in again. It is another frosty sunshine day in paradise today. Nice not having wind.
    Nice visit with Mom yesterday. Met a few old friends at the funeral and then did some bookkeeping for Mom. I got to light the furnace before I left. I don't get to do it at home as campinspecter has a system.

    We are splitting and stacking about a cord of hemlock that was delivered Saturday night. The guy had a really nice little dump truck. It is getting harder and harder to scrounge for firewood in the woods now as we have a very aggressive chip plant operating around here. Afterward I hope to get down and clear some more thimbleberry brush.

    Everyone have a great day.

    Sunset from Mom's town as I was headed for the ferry. This is looking toward where we live. White dot in the black line of land is the ferry on its way.

    A cool FHC morning to all.

    Laid in bed for my morning prayers today. Then, made coffee (mmmmm!) fed some "un-processed" btu's into the Kuuma and recorded my weight/BP readings.

    It appears that I may not have to plow today! Depending on how much drifting the driveway has from yesterday.....

    Anyone else on here wonder if we need to do a wellness check on T.Jeff Veal after he was annihilated with the snow? Milk and bread only last so long.....:thumbs:

    It is a mere 7* f this morning, but we dont mind this morning. We hav3 a National Championship to celebrate! Doubtful we have any firewood burners in Miami, so feel free to join our happiness in Monroe County.

    Went out to add a bit to the hot coal bed to ensure Mrs. Sourwood has a warm house. She is off to Albuquerque this morning. I hav3 an 08:00 breakfast meeting, then home for a bit. Our retired guys discount movie day at noon. The. Return home and get an hour or so of woodcutting in. My splitter part is due also. FOP meeting tonight. Also had to buy some commercial boiler wood, (four ricks) as I fretted i might run out this cold snap. Just got a buzz we may have a winter storm soon.

    Wednesday will b3 warmer and nothing on the agenda but cutting and tinkering. Everyone stay warm and enjoy the coffee !

    What...nobody checked on us...:headbang::headbang::(:(:(:rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol:

    Thanks for checking, Dave...
    It was rough, you know I was stranded at work, had to drive Ol'Skool f150 home uphill both ways with almost slick tires 2wd drive ...just my professional driving skills saved me...
    We barely survived, after the milk sammiches ran out, the kitty kibble was looking good, but we had wood for the stove a can of Vienna sausage, beanie weenies, and we caught a fat armadillo...stewed him on the stove...hi class possum in half shell:thumbs::thumbs:...
    :rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol:
    I forgot, the :drunk::cheers:
    started at 4pm...

    Wait a minute, that was the Nashville edition...:thumbs::thumbs::wacky::wacky::picard::picard:

    The sun came out that afternoon, roads were dry, only snow was on the grass in shady spots. We delivered farwood yesterday..
