A little bit of a drive for me, hour and a half each way but I didnt have much going on today and found a marketplace post today. Tree company was taking down some big cherry and locust trees in a neighborhood. I took what I could, they even helped me load some with their mini skid. If it wasnt so far id be back, but he said theres more people coming. This is my first time cutting any locust is this honey locust?

1.5 is a good hike but looks like a nice load of premium hardwood. It's home now so it was worth it.

Got to unloading today, picked up some tongs from tsc and put the little deere to work, skidded the heavier logs out of the trailer. Took some time but worked out good.

Local tree service hooked me up today, grapple loaded some oak they took down. Gave me the ok to come back for more after I unload. As much as I love this trailer I need a dump trailer asap. Either way will make some great future heat and the price was right

Very nice. Yes first posts were BL, nice oak too. Great score.
We hauled logs for 8-10 years on a similar trailer, before getting the dump trailer in '18. IMG_20161007_151416072.jpg IMG_20171122_093446805.jpg
What helped us was taking the ramps off the back when unloading.
Most of the time the tractor was at loading site, we used a cable hooked to tree and pulled trailer forward to drag logs off, then roll to side with cant hook.
Dump trailers are nice, but sure are $$$$ now.
    Keep on hoarding, my friend

Nice score! I don’t use my dump trailer enough but it sure is handy when I find someone that needs a pile of logs gone right now. I’m on the prowl now for a big score to process this year. We can store about 7 loads comfortably.

I use a chain with tongs and my garden tractor to pull them off. Works for now, but something with a loader is in the plans.

That's great. Make sure when you get a dump trailer, it's big enough to haul tractor
