Took a load of firewood to my cousin the other day who’s husband is struggling with Parkinson disease. Good guy, he has a sense of humor about it and never bitches. He is also the one who made me aware of FHC, and I joined this group shortly after. After stacking the wood for her on the porch, she said hey, “Kenny bought these years ago and we never use them, do you want them?”I never knew they existed, now my new favorite coffee mugs.

Truly collectors edition-display only stuff there!
Good on you for taking care of them JDU...my sisters husband has it too...for quite some time now, early onset. She heats with wood too, we all pitch in and keep her supplied...she raised 5 kids almost by herself due to this disease, 6 if you include him some days.

Yes, I know what you mean. He fell and broke his hip and was coming home from the hospital the day I was there as my cousin asked if I could help get him in the house.
It was painfull to for me to watch him take 10 minutes to get out of the truck and go 20' across the porch to get into the house. She has her hands full taking care of him.

My cousin does have a tough time. I check in with her every day. He is a big man, 6'5" and maybe 250+ so not easy for her. Thanks for caring, to all of you .

Here is mine in St Croix, the same beach the lady was killed by a shark this past week. Cottages by the Sea Dorsch Beach west end.
Funny thing was we were there a few months back and the turtle rescue people were there. The girl giving the talk was insisting the sharks stayed down by Sandy Point where the turtles hatched. Now being I have been going there for 10-12 years and diving there I corrected her but she insisted they never came up this far, about a mile, LOL. Wife and I have followed them around on the kayak for an hour at a time 50 yards off the beach.
