I see, why does she need a special dentist?

Our normal dentist doesn't do these.

Went out and processed that "beech" today. While I was away it decided to identify as a red maple. When it first come down all I could see was the smooth grey bark at the top. When I pulled it outta the ditch and to my driveway I noticed that "star" pattern on the end grain and remembered buZZsaw BRAD saying that's how you can tell red maple. Well I got to the butt end today and found the flakey bark starting.

Got it bucked n chunked n loaded. Unloaded one side of the trailer.

Turned around and unloaded the other.

The heartwood on the bottom 3 rounds was missing but other than that mostly solid.

Ive been fooled by "beech" masquerading as maple. The heartwood rot pretty common on them around here.

    Some nice wood there!

Good to hear she's on the antibiotics and feeling better. Endodontists are that odd specialty that doesn't seem to be covered by Dental or Medical insurance. Had that same issue with my wife. I think Dental eventually covered 20% and medical not at all in our case.

The entire medical/dental insurance system needs a major overhaul.

    Good she's on the mend.

I was too stubborn to get a bad tooth addressed and suffered the consequences. Woke up three weeks ago and the room was spinning. SERIOUS vertigo. Infection affected ear thus my balance too. Good part of the day in ER with antibiotic scrip plus anti vertigo scrip, extractions later that week and I'm just starting to feel close to "normal". Good thing I like applesauce, yogurt and Jello!:picard::drool:

My extraction is healing up well, I think. Some minor discomfort from the stitches creating a sore on inside of cheek in that area. Then seems like another sore spot on cheek. Hopefully that will heal up soon. I’m hoping it isn’t being created because the cheek is now rubbing on remaining teeth corners because that molar is gone. Fingers crossed that it will all heal up good.

Over the years my wife has had a number of root canals. Our dentist did a number of them but they were on the teeth that had only 1 main root. A root canal on a molar had to be done by an endodontist because of the multiple roots.

Tooth infection is nothing to play with...I'm told it can get to your brain faster than just about any other infection.
I guess we are fortunate to have dentists around here that can do pretty much whatever is needed without going to a specialist...only time I had to do that was for 4 wisdom teeth extraction, and he said that I was a pretty easy job, no crazy roots or anything.

I waited waaaaaay to long! :emb: One of the extractions was my last wisdom tooth. It was the easiest to remove.

Unfortunately if it isn't a frost-free freezer, then that is what you are stuck with. One way to keep the frost down is to not have much humidity in the air when you open the door - which is not really practical unless you like your house at 10-20% humidity. Make sure gasket seals well, minimize opening/closing of door, don't keep door open for long (organization is key), and don't put warm foods in there (place in fridge first to get temp as cool as possible).

    Same here.

Until this past spring through early fall. Went to a endodontist and not only had it done correctly but also fixed some botched root canals that I unknowingly had and lived with for a couple decades!

Don't feel too bad Jeff. I once was corrected when I informed him the beech he thought he had was popple. I got argument but later he fessed up and agreed it was indeed popple. I still laugh about that one (it was back on the old forum). I think I do still have a picture.

Got the inside of the ford back together and made more use of my makeshift plow. This snow is a lot easier to handle than the last batch.
