I used to live in Pigeon Falls, WI back in the 50's and 60's and it wasn't uncommon to see lows in the -40+ range.

    2 feels like -14

Got another dusting of snow overnight. Just under 2". They are calling for 6-10 inches starting Sunday afternoon.

The plow truck is nearing 1/2 tank of gas; gonna have to get some more. That always turns into an event with all the snowmobilers zig zagging around the pumps cutting in line! :headbang:

How much snow have you got on the ground?

    Good Morning all!

13 feels like 5 here. 65 inside and climbing.

Don't know what I put in the stove last night? I thought it was oak, but I have 6 inches of coals in the stove.

Burning it down with a big old chunk of pallet wood (non cat stove) and a piece of oak.

I like the conventional mercury thermometer better than using that hand held temperature sensor. There is just too much inaccuracy in using the infrared temperature sensors due to different surfaces and their emissivity.

Not quite sure as when we had the rain before the last storm, it really got knocked down. We never did get close to bare ground.

I'm thinking probably around 2' anyway. :handshake:

I think the total snowfall is in the 100" area.

16/70 oak, ash, and one piece of red maple pallet wood.
Lots of clinkers in the stove this morning. Must be something about a tulip poplar and oak mix that makes it behave like elm
