    Did I win?

Got three good pieces of wood out. Little chilly but the tractor exhaust warms the hands occasionally.

Log with the super long stem, what species is that? That is really long and limb-free! Awesome for hoarders.

My guess is either Scarlet or Northern Red. When they grow up under a canopy they focus on upwards growth rather than outwards. It was longer than it looked before I cut it down. Wouldn't fit in the woodyard without trimming. lol It was creating a little pinch point for a trail where you needed to get left to avoid. No more.

Thank You. I spent far too many days over the Holidays sitting in the house due to weather or just plain laziness. Needed to start this year off right.

I'd get more if I had more equipment. Have left many good ones to rot for logistics of recovery. Thankful for those I do get though. Most always have something laying somewhere to get after.

Same here of sorts. Id scrounge out of my own woods, but wheelbarrowing it out got old, plus there was not a lot from year to year. I haven't taken a walk through in quite some time. Be interesting to see what's there.

So I learned something about them. They are not meant to be used with bare hands or light gloves. Heat will quickly be shut off unless winter gloves are used. With winter/substantial gloves on it is near perfect amount of heat. I had always assumed they would 'warm' but honestly it gets fairly hot. Of course I'm only using it in the 20s, so the real arctic users would probably scoff at me.
