There are processes in place if you think you are being over taxed. https://www.revenue.nh.gov/about-dr...-bureau/property-tax-abatement-appeal-process
So, here's my question to you; Are YOU happy with your taxes going up? If you are, you need help! And, yes I did the appeal process already, the moment I received my tax bill! It's SAD when NJ taxes are cheaper than New Hampshire's are!
Not 100% sure? But do you understand that by JACKING people taxes up and many over double, the lawmakers are going to push people right out of New Hampshire!! It happened right here in NJ. ONLY the wealthy could afford to purchase/buy a home down here and afford the taxes. NH is going to run all those hard working families who were getting by, paycheck to paycheck and force them to leave. Not only that, their paychecks are revenue and spent in little towns and communities every day, such as groceries, utilities, cars, etc... When people leave, SO DOESN'T THE MONEY! and the local economy goes to $#!T. I've seen it in many places I lived in while in the Military. Here is another example; There are 20 homes on my block that USED to be occupied year round. When taxes went up, people fled, sold out and now there are only 4 homes that are year round residents! The other 16 families are gone and the other places are now "Air-B&B's".
By the way Warner , Want a good deal on 9.63 Acres? You've been there. 3 acres are fully clear now and a crush/run driveway installed with a 360ft well, 2 Shipping containers on site with a porta potty and a tractor. I'll give ya a GREAT deal.
Here's another thought Warner , My wife and I would have spent 50K EASY in the local communities up there, maybe more, NOT in taxes but things like eating out, furniture, and everyday things. Now, I won't spend a dime!! That money I would have spent would go to people's paychecks and support local economies. If everything stays, as what just happened with my taxes, NH can kiss my A$$~ Forever.... West Virginia is looking good now, REAL good!
No thanks I’m happy where I’m at and intend to die here, I honestly hope you find a place that makes you feel that way as well. It’s too short of a ride…
I feel similar to you. I just wish the bleeding hearts running this state would worry as much about things being affordable for taxpayers as they do about things being affordable for illegals.
Hey, brother...maybe a bit farther south... Our property taxes went up some this year too......if it was spent responsibly, maybe it wouldn't be so bad... This is what we pay on... 2 acres...our double wide and sheds, lots of road frontage 2 acres...dad's wood shop and buildings County road frontage 1.14 acres beside the wood shop, undeveloped, road frontage In the family estate, we pay 1/4 of taxes... 2 acres beside wood shop with old house...road frontage 89 acres in conservation program Total bill was a shade less than $970... There are some properties in our county with very nice houses and acres that are...
Problem is; Those BLEEDING hearts are bleeding you!! And, they give everything FREE to the Illegals on the backs of us! I would love to be in New Hampshire, but Sadly it's turning into TAXACHUTTESES. Socialism DOES NOT WORK! Tax and spend DOES NOT WORK!
T., Your a bit to south for me. I almost bought down in South Carolina years back when I was stationed in Charleston, We actually found some land with an old home inland near Lake Moultrie, Taxes were very cheap but what stopped me was the 98º heat and humidity and the Skeeters were as big as B-29's and had a 50 caliber bite!!! Nasty Bast@rds!! THEN, I happened to fine me some "Fire ants". I'm NOT going there now.....
But we will feed ya good and you can stay in the AC during summer... I looked on the tax map...gonna share these hi-class properties...you know, Nashville-style...... This property is just up the road from us...it does have a very nice house on it, not just that little shed This one is about 4 miles out on the way to work... The next properties are in Sandersville, they are old $$$ families...Tarbutton family own Sandersville RR...there are several more family properties The Sheppard family own a large trucking company, Howard Sheppard Inc... Mr Cummings owned a company the did water towers, I think he developed a lining that goes inside...he sold that company and moved here...he decided to show old $$$ how it was done... Biggest house in the county... And he has since started another company... Now back to the wood hoard... and our little slice of paradise
Ya DAM right on that one!!! I/we had a cook from Georgia on the Navy ship I was on, The man could make Biscuits like NOBODY could!!!
Other than the stump, (which I'm not gonna mess with it today) This is it. It's a nice load and beautiful stuff! I'll have another IBC ready to go by Sunday to load.
