21/72 just loaded up for the evening with a 50/50 mix of black locust and oak. Coal bed was a bit thicker than typical so I only fit 2 of each.

44F out, didn't need a fire during the day, got one going just before sunset. Random bits of oak, tulip poplar, and cherry. Might be too much for these mild temps. Happy New Year! PXL_20251231_233504183.MP~2.jpg

31/71 burning ash and cherry in the Buck. Snowing steady for most of the afternoon and evening, small flakes so only have maybe 4 inches. Down to 11 overnight, have some big ash splits and a little hickory on deck.

18/68 burning the last of the white oak for now. Brought up a tote yesterday and I think it’s mainly red oak from a 12” branch that was caught up in some trees so long the bark fell off. Pulled it out and split and stacked it. I burned some in the fall and it burned very well!

    Happy New Years!

Not a buckeye fan but was rooting for them. I can't stand anything Miami U when it comes to football. Especially the current coach. Then they kept panning to a couple of biggest jacka$$es that played football, rat lewis and irvin.

IMG_5660.jpeg 6/68 it's snowing again and it looks like a gentle snow globe. Burning Box Elder and Maple that was dropped in our backyard January 10th 2023. It was split and cross stacked soon after that.

I can’t fathom 54 below zero. I’m 67 years old and the coldest I’ve ever seen in Wisconsin was 28 below zero. The diesel milk truck I was driving gelled up.
