Love old fords. Looks tough! Love im through the 90s. Now the new body style in the last 8 years or so look good too! Love the old ones though late 70s-95 best
That truck does look awesome. I've had mostly Chevy trucks and I still love that era of ford trucks. The one ford I did have was impressive. Heck, I won't discriminate. I just like trucks.
That pic of cgraham1's loaded truck reminds me of my dad. He always said, " Don't waste a trip into the woods, haul out as much as you can." That saying used to tick me off as a kid, trying to find a space for the last piece of wood and picking up all the pieces that fell off the trailer while headed to the house. I can appreciate it now though.
That has to be the straightest wood in the history of the world! You can't find a 2x4 at Home Depot that straight!
Those are tops from a USFS thinning project... They're already limbed and stacked in decks and very easy to get to. Almost too easy!
As a forester I think its stupid to sell those things. Give them free yes but dont charge. It costs the government crazy amounts of money to take your $10 or whatever and enter it. The way I see it your doing a favor cleaning up woods and loading areas.
It's a regular firewood permit. They stacked all the stuff that the local mill wouldn't buy... and it's easily accessible.
No doubt. I really like seeing some of these older trucks the members here have. I see so many new trucks that have been modded to the point where they lose their functionality - it's nice to see these older trucks still working and looking good. Now it's time for me to get my butt off the couch and go split some oak.
I like trucks! Here's a few of that I've owned... I bought this one brand new in 2002. 7.3 Powerstroke, 6 speed manual trans... '87 F350. 7.3 IDI w/ Banks turbo, and I swapped in a 5 speed from a '94... Current junk. '80 K30... ... and '06 Cummins 6 speed...
Thought I might add these recent pics to this thread. Hope I didn't post any of them here already. LOL Last truck then newer one I traded it in on and just went to. I have a lot of work I plan on doing to the property over the coming years and a long road to plow back to the camp so decided to go to the 2500HD.
