Simple uphill firewood "slide" (instead of a conveyor)

Found this pic. Very clever way to load uphill without a conveyor! Wish I'd thought of it... fightin' gravity...
The concept could be expanded too, to do more of a shove with each ram travel.

Seems like it would be easier and less work to park the truck closer instead.

What does he do, take out the "plunger" split a few pieces, stick the plunger on and push it with the splitter?

Looks like it. And, when he gets to the end of his splitting, he's either got to toss the rest in by hand or add sections of that double push pole he's got, until he gets the final splits up there. Interesting idea.

If he used a more sturdy ramp it may not require a plunger. In theory as he splits the pieces should push themselves. I aim my splitter at where I'm stacking and let the pieces push themselves closer as it piles up.

Go for it! Have it push the heavy splits. Smaller pieces are easier to haul up a slope!:dancer::dex::rootintootin:

Who was it that was looking to split above the ground to throw splits on his elevated porch (deck?)
