Good Morning, Brothers & Sisters Thread

That wind was intense yesterday! It hit just as the spear shack was making contact with ice during unloading causing it to spin and catch the corner of the trailer enough to rip off some of the metal sheeting at bottom. Getting in and out without the wind wrecking the door required a little extra care.

I didn’t want to leave until the wind died for fear of it tipping over. Hopefully it is still upright when I go back tomorrow morning.

The force of the wind and gusts was enough to push down on the ice creating waves of current which caused the decoys to sway back and forth a bit.

 

We had a few outside decorations that the wind took down.

Morning all Dark and just abovve freezing this morning.

Lily woke me up early as she had the hiccups. After about 1/2 hr, I took them outside. Everyone just sat and looked at me so we all went back to bed. Lady decided it was still naptime but Lily was quite restless. So after about an hour, we went outside again. Everyone did what they needed to do and then we came upstairs and the dogs had breakfast.
Playtime for a bit and now they all want to go back to bed with campinspecter Hah! not likely. I am up so are they.

We saw snow on the way to church yesterday but then the sun came out and it disappeared. Who knows what will happen to day.

I am still fighting the cold so I postponed my visit to Mom today. Hopefully by Tuesday I will be able to go over there. I am finding that you can't make plans or have a schedule when you are retired. Something always comes up.

Sawdust Man that siding looks great on the shop. We have a restaurant here that redid the inside with a combination of metal siding like that and wood paneling. Easy to clean and doesn't show any accidental damage. A few new houses being built around here are going for that look as well.

I'll head to the town salt barn for a bucket of rock salt. There's a chance of flurries tomorrow and later in the week.

I'll top off the deck rack while everything is dry.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a MARVELOUS MONDAY. 49⁰/63⁰ cloudy...
Off today, so heading to the woodyard, a friend is need is coming over to help today, going to cut him a big truck load of wood and maybe a tote of oak for inventory. We had some food items left over from our missions project we're giving him too. He basically lives in a storage shed with a small wood stove.
Good guy, life just threw him some bad curve balls.
Going out to dinner with our son and his GF.

Need to work in the shop a bit this morning, then planning to go over and start on the roof of the shop build.

Last evening....

 

Temps rose overnight and we got a little bit of freezing rain. The driveway is coated with ice. Think I will stay home today.

 

Morning all. Dark and just above freezing. It will probably warm up and rain today.
I got parecels ready to mail this morning. They will be late but they will get there.
My cold is still hanging around but I can work through it. 4:30 AM, Lily wants to lick my neck and cuddle. Fortunately she went back to sleep quickly so we slept a little longer than yesterday morning.
She is almost 4 months old, sleeps through the night (mainly) and has got herself housetrained for the last few weeks. The housetraining was an answer to prayer, I am sure.
