Predicting 77° here for Christmas day.
Good thing I haven't taken the ac outta the window yet.....

 

Morning all. Dark, sounds windy and temps are right above freezing. It could be slippery on the way to church this morning.
Ski hills are happy as they are getting snow. We just might have a white Christmas this year if the freezing level just drops a bit.
I feel a bit better this morning but I still have the stuffy nose. I did go back to bed yesterday morning after taking an Advil. When I got up, my day schedule was all messed up but I got a few things done.
We sat and watched a performance of Handel's Messiah last night. Is that ever inspiring music!

No matter what we are going through, we can rejoice in the Lord. He is always there, faithful, mercyful, compassionate and loves us without measure.

Temps rose overnight but are due to start dropping tonight and rise again later one Sunday. That should be the end of the up and down temps for the next few days. Calling for 44 on Christmas with high temps being above freezing for most of next week.
I much rather prefer temps of 44 on Christmas than temps in the negative range.

 

I got my house set during a maelstrom of snow and wind this morning. Had this Muskie in the hole a few times, and lots of perch and bluegill at times, but no pike came in today.

 

Well, I made my mom cry this morning, in a good way.

It's been just over a year since we said goodbye to my dad. I received a card from the church that handled his service. Included with the card was a print out of a poem.

We had a good cry and then moved on to talk about other things.

After the weather we had yesterday, we thought that Mass would be cancelled this morning. Lots of strong winds with snow reduced visibility way way down. Travel warnings and all that.

The winds died before midnight and the snow stopped shortly after that.

Anyway, we'll be able to attend Mass this morning.
