I have a mobile system I used for dogging out in SD. It basically is a low profile ‘strutter’ chair used for turkey hunting, then shooting sticks. It works even better if you can put your back against something firm like a fence post or building. I’ve used such to rove the prairie when dogging. I had a gunsmith years ago, avid prairie dogger, he was always saying it was best to be mobile. That’s as opposed to setting up the heavy bench by the truck & staying put. I liked to add a little ‘hunting’ to the venture.
I explored and abandoned this option some time ago. Have a chairpod that is ok. Prefer to use tripod now. Can add a chair or stand and shoot nearly anywhere.
