Eucalyptus Went and picked it up with the liftgate (get you one). Used the biggest for a block and split everything in the truck. Chucked off the no split crotch pieces. Added some from my yard to make a load and some pine for starting. 8’x12’x1.5’ thrown, I figure 96cu ft, $275. One of these days I need to actually stack some, measure, throw, measure. I go by thrown taking up 1.5 times the space of stacked. Ain’t got time for stacking Guess the scale weight
I sell strictly by volume. I have premeasured stacked half cords. PITA, but I have a postage stamp to store wood on. In the rare case I don't have it stacked i'll count out splits and 375-400 make a half cord. My most recent delivery was a split count which stacked out to a half as the buyer paid extra to have me stack it. Uglies and shorts/nuggets get left out and sold as such. Have you considered IBC totes?
Somewhere on here, there is a weight of cord of species chart. Here if not stacked off ground becomes mulch
I have some crates around. Various trailers and flatbeds. have forklifts so the crates are nice until it's time to unload them and gotta bend over down into them. Yeah you realize why you're sore when you see you just split and lifted 3,000lb. I just did a cord of 3' diameter live oaks last two nights after work.... We keep getting so much rain (in the desert) I gotta get some loaded into my M35A2 trailer and under cover so I'll have some to dry. Mostly sell to desert offroaders, mostly on holiday weekends.
