I gave him high praise. I had figured he'd do well after the target practice session we had. I saw a young man confident with his rifle placing shots where he wanted them and enjoying it.

He's back out as of a few minutes ago looking for some horns.

IMG_0993.jpeg I’m having a good year! Shot this 8 point buck Saturday in Pennsylvania. 60 yard shot with my .30-06. Best PA buck I have shot.

After work today, I scoped out my buddy's land by his house that he's getting me doe hunt at this year. I know where to set up. Plenty of deer tracks in the snow. I'll be out Saturday morning when the antlerless season starts.

I found his tree stand he's used in the past. Lol. Screenshot_20251208-205116.png

It's a great spot plenty of deer trails out of the woods that I'll be facing, then deer travelling from behind to the left from the front of my friend's land. A good 250 yard maybe more shot to the right, about 100 or so to the left, before the land slopes away and the woods ends to where I won't shoot. It's outside of town, but My rifle will easily go way past where it's safe if I swing too far to the left

Roughed out sitting outside in the extreme cold this afternoon for the statewide antlerless deer only weekend today. I did have a Pop up blind. That helped with the wind. But it took a while to get the blind up with that wind.

It was cold 1° with a 20+ mph constant wind with higher gusts. Not nice at all.

No deer seen today. Deer did move behind me where I couldn't see them until on my way out in the truck. Then I saw fresh tracks. I'll try again during the holiday hunt antlerless season between Christmas and New Year's. It has to be warmer than this weekend.

I was out with the muzzleloader yesterday for a few hours. Not as cold as Horkn mentioned, but cold enough. Toady, tomorrow, and Tuesday as cold.
I’ll be out for the NY Christmas to New Years muzzleloader season .Weather is supposed to be warmer if the long term forecast is correct.

No pictures worth sharing but I went out with some friends and family for antlerless days or commonly called doe days. There are 3 of them after our 6 day firearm season which was last week and we do deer drives. In 2 days we got 19.

If it holds after the 60 day drying period it will be #5 all time in Wisconsin

It may be hard to keep the gun steady looking at something like that

Do you have a frontal pic of that deer ? Either I am going blind or there is something odd going on there.
