I go to the gym to, but I’d much rather make firewood!

Picture is kinda funny. Looks like his swing is angled like chopping, chips are flying like chopping but the wood is being spit. :sherlock:

And none of the wood - that he stacks against his log cabin - is split...

I noticed that too. And he’s using a chopping axe with a 18 inch handle

I decided to go to The Oaks Gym after The Bucks put a whoopin on that team up north, sliced (5) 16" rounds off the down 30" OD log, noodled a good notch in each, then quartered them with help from the Fiskar brothers.
Might produce a face cord in total?
Not bad for an hours work...I tried to keep after it the whole time, as to keep my heart rate up the whole time, like a "real" workout at the gym. Figured it'd be a good idea after the way I ate the last few days! Plus doc has been encouraging me to be more regular with a strenuous workout too...ugh.
Oh well, more trigger time in the woods...plus come home smelling like Oak n 2 stroke

I'm almost to the point where I might steer away from anything 30" at this point in my life. But that stuff makes an awful lot of splits!
Also, I'd like to nominate "The Oaks Gym" to the FHC dictionary. Cracked me up for some reason.

I have my own gym in my garage and I love using it, but it hits different muscles than wood splitting does. But yeah, splitting wood is good stuff. What gets me is the constant bending down to pick up pieces and rounds. That hits my lower back all wrong after a while. Have you ever used the chain/bungee cord method and bundle a bunch of smaller/medium sized rounds together to split them? Works really well for straighter pieces and certain species. Don't have to bend over after every single swing to pick up the rounds. Saves alot of back grief.

Oh and that meme picture is definitely AI, and I hate AI. It's gonna ruin the world.

I did stairmaster yesterday while tryin to catch a deer. Thought I'd have a charlie horse last night for sure but was spared. I was at the wood gym Friday for a bit. Saturday was a 'get on and off the tractor' 47 times day.

I hate that they found a picture of me 15 years ago and AI'ed it in front of a fake cabin!!! That was right before I shaved my beard off.
