34/73. Accidentally got it up to 76 yesterday so I’m just cruising on low with chestnut oak.

High 30s and breezy, but sunny and bright. Started the stove with aspen this morning, but have since switched to black locust chunks since I’ll be gone most of the afternoon.

I added some Black Locust to the rack on the porch. A fair amount of it is what Brad calls petrified. I'm betting it makes quite the glowing bed of coals. It was cut in May 2022.

Good morning everyone, its been awhile! -18c/0f outside right now under sun and cloud. The weather guessers say this is our coldest of the week so we will see. A load of larch keeping the heat pumping up the stairs.

22° feels like 14° in the hunting shack. Burning 5 yr dried honey locust and ash uglies in the rusty 55 g wood stove with holey rusty, but venting out single wall pipe. No worries about leaks from the pipe or stove, there's plenty of outside venting. Lol

Cloudy and chilly, was down in the 20s last night and is in the mid 40s today and windy. Had the fire roaring last night with oak and cherry. Now just tossing a couple pieces of white oak on top of the coals every now and then to keep her going. PXL_20251129_010740212.MP.jpg

28 and dumping snow. Below freezing now until end of next week.

Gave up on the walnut and loaded some ash and white oak in the boiler. House and shop are nice and warm.

34/71 elm and cherry going. Got the outside decorations up then ran to Lowe's. They are having a sale on ladders if anyone is in need sale runs thru 12/3. Bought a new 6 ft step ladder for 69.00, 70.00 off. My old wooden one is just getting too rickety. Also made sure my 350 was sighted in, 2 shots in the bullseye.

I could have 10 cord if I wanted it. We still have several standing dead that are solid as a rock. Getting wood from the sawmill has me spoiled soni haven't had the motivation to go get it.

28/70 here. I know it might be a little premature for South Jersey but I think the snow chains are going on the tractor tomorrow. The weather is turning fast here.
