Have had that happen once on my 2500 Duramax. When I went looking for the “smell” it was obvious that it was coming from the HVAC system. When I got to the cabin filter there was nothing but a mouse skeleton and some dried skin left, oh and some uneaten acorns:rofl: . Actually wasn’t that funny because when I pulled out the filter I lost some of the “stuff” down the ductso_O That meant removing vent and duct work….Yes, I hate the little buggers too! We have 3 outdoor/barn cats that seem to be earning their keep recently so haven’t had a recurrence thankfully!

How do they get to the cabin air filter is what I can't figure out? I've looked at our 2015 Honda Accord and I can't figure out where they're getting in. I want to try and get them blocked up higher with some hardware cloth, so they don't make a mess on top of that filter.

I've also found remnants of mice in the trunk... There again I can't figure out how they got in there either.

In perusing the Black Friday ads this year, I didn't see a lot of great deals, a few maybe, and some that were okay, if you were waiting until BF to buy that item, but not much that made me say wow!
I didn't see any Black Friday log splitter deals either...best I saw was about $200 IIRC...well, HD had one for about 1/2 price, but none in stock anywhere, according to their site.

Hey, that's what I drive still, 2005. They took it bird hunting to pull the 5th wheel, it was the pic up tailgate the birds were on in the pheasants pic.

I'm just unsure of what damage they could do or where they would be able to nest in the machine I have since there are no openings or filters. Since the mower is folded and standing up, they wouldn't be able to nest "under" the mowing deck either. I don't use the bag (in fact, can't think of where it is presently - either in the garage or on top of the tarps that they would have a heyday with).

I'm sure some enterprising critter would be able to figure something out in a pinch. but I'm pretty sure they would be nesting in the tarps and old flower pots way before they would try for the mower.

I don't do BF because, well, I got nobody to shop for and I hate people, so I stay out of that mess. I only did it once for a printer way back in the early 2000's (or maybe late 90's).

I did get online and grab a couple of things from Home Depot that were on sale. But that was by accident, not by design. On a tool forum, someone showed a limited in-store deal they got for a battery operated circular saw. It was something I had been wanting so I went looking to see if it was also available online. That specific item was not. Actually, I had misread the poster's blade size (which was 4-1/2"). I thought the post said 5-1/2", the actual size I wanted, and it was bundled with a jigsaw for a price I liked.

I just can't picture you hating people. Perhap more like me in that there are many you just don't care to be around them and, yes, some tick you off but rarely hate.

My son was mowing the lawn one year and started smelling skunk so he came in the house and he was stinkin' so out the door he went. I waited a bit and went out back and sure enough there was a skunk in the bag on the lawnmower. I gingerly removed the rear bag and dumped the grass clippings and the offending critter out into the yard. I retreated and he waddled off like it was no ones business. Never say never. Now I disconnect the bag and hang it up, open end down.

I’m not entirely sure either but I believe there’s intake air from around the fender are under the hood.

Usually the fresh air intake is in the cowl or under the wiper blades. There are usually holes between fender and cowl where they can get in. Some manufacturers put a screen on the intake there. Most probably don't.
