Getting a replacement social security card shouldn't be hard here in MA either but if you are on a sh!t list down at the local Social Security office , good luck. They like to blame outdated computer equipment and such, but it's amazing just what kind of info they have on everyone when it is convenient.
In my state they put vetwran on our license now, is there still a reason to get the card? So far thw only benefit I have accessed is the VA home loan.
We also have veteran on our licenses and I have veterans license plates. Some vets don't have licenses or drive, though. I hope this helps. I've never been to a social security office. Their website works really well and no attitudes or waiting in lines. https://www.ssa.gov/
