I decided that the cutting of wood could wait until another day. I need to get a roof over the porch at camp. Time to build and put up trusses.
Now we will see if I can get them up. Luckily they are not too heavy. Need a couple more support post though to extend roof out over steps. Always something.
Moving right along. I got this far along and snapped the last pictures before dark. I was working alone and it is only camp so I didn't get to fussy. Ready for some metal bigbarf!
I'm using up as much of the pressure treated stuff I can from the old deck. Saving some dough by repurposing.
There. The metal is on! Still have a few things to do. Was in kind of a hurry so it is not a quality job, but it's camp. Last year I had to shovel the porch off through that winter we had! All the snow from the camp's main roof would slide off and land on the porch. With the force of it falling from that length of roof it would turn the stuff on the bottom to ice quick! Compaction! LOL Not this year.
Looks nice Gas. You know you're gonna be sittin' out there during a light snow fall, lovin' every minute.
Thanks eatonpcat! It is going to be so nice when the snow falls off the main roof this winter and gets split and pushed to each side of porch! So much better than shoveling it off the porch and steps like last winter!
