I can't be the only one here that owns one. Right now mine is laying in a pile. Been looking for a Hanger thing to put it on (actually want to gift one for Christmas) but not seeing much that doesn't need some fancy slat wall or the like to be used. Likely not that difficult to craft something out of a broom handle or something but again I would like to gift one to a friend and store bought seems a better option. I like this, but without modification it is proprietary attachment. Need something direct bolt on. How do you store your carriers?
I've seen some cool ones made from steel schedule 40 pipe and fittings, bolted onto the wall with a regular flange. Possibilities are endless if you want to DIY.
just an idea, I wouldn't buy a china made one myself. I'd get someone to weld one up or give it a go myself tbh.
Good suggestion. It seems there are a few for holding 'backpack weights' that must be popular in the gyms or something. I will check out the scuba websites.
Ok, I've been stewing on this for 24 hrs now, and I'm sure I'm not the only one here that has no idea what the heck this is, or what it's for exactly...
Vest that holds body armor plates. Depending on what kind of plates you carry, they can get heavy. Your standard clothes hanger isn't going to work.
Sorry, I sometimes forget that not everyone speaks 'RCBS'. lukem's discription is correct. I have the cumberbunds in mine so it's quite heavy. These things
lol I doubt it unless you use black pipe for a rod and used a 2x6 where it mounts and to a stud. still need something to hang it to the pipe. did that link show? (my 1st post)it's a blank section for me, could be my adblocking.
I think I would buy what you have shown here. Cut the little tabs off the square mounting plate and drill 2-4 holes in said mounting plate. Then just find a stud to screw it to.
Just thinking out loud here, but if I'm ever in a situation where I need body armor, I'm as good as dead already. That's why I chose to line all my exterior walls and doors with railroad tie plates. I should be able to hole up Waco style for a few hours anyway I jest of course, for now.
I had considered this. If it were for me, the aesthetics don't matter. As stated, wanting to gift one to a friend for Christmas.
