I have seen plenty of rotten houses from improper flashings. We are working on a commercial building. So our material is going on structural metal studs

Have to make the trek into the office today - 50 miles away. Will be leaving the house at 5am, and getting back home about 5pm (assuming there are no traffic backups on my way home). So, not only do I have to drive for hours in the dark for the first time this year, but I will also be around lots of people for 9.5 hours.

Pray for all those poor souls that will be on the receiving end of my discontent over having to go thru the whole ordeal - LOL

    * I work from home so this severely disrupts my routine.

Roof vent on hold, he's out of town a couple days and items were delivered to the Post Office

But found another thing that just might be the biggest cluprit the vent. We had a float dryer vent, lid used to freeze shut in very cold weather. I'd go out and give it a knuckle thump and it'd open. I'd guess one of those times the wind broke the lid off and the float is gone too of course. Lol the roof guys after paneling the walls reinstalled it upside down, so an upside down open tube to dryer

What do you call two idiots standing over a UPS trying to figure out how to hook it to the generator after they've done it over a dozen times over the years? WW and WWW   :picard:

Power went out around 1:30 on me. No water, tv, computer etc. House is totally electric except wood stoves. Family got home and then the candles. Then camp perks for ramen and other for coffee on the wood stove. We kept taking bets on when power would be restored, I said when WWW gets the generator, gas, we run electric cords etc. I won. ~9pm.

I'm about 9 days in since I separated a few of my ribs. Dr says it will take a couple weeks but I'm not sure if I believe him. Better than 6 weeks for broken ones, I suppose.

I was hoping to get out in the woods this weekend and do some TSI, but I tried to start my little chainsaw last night and it was unpleasant, to say the least. I guess I'll just rot on the couch for a couple more days.

Ugh, yeah that's rough...rib stuff seems to linger.
As far as the saw...sounds like a good reason to get a battery saw  ;)

I have a little DeWalt pruning saw. I guess I could use that on some honeysuckle bushes. Good idea.

I'm not normally a big fan of yellow, but this house pulls it off.
