Husqvarna on my truck! A running 395XP with a 36" bar. Not bad for $175. Soon to be property of Eric Wanderweg once his payment clears! I ran it for a bit and had to pick these up!!! JK Husky guys. All in fun. There are some fasteners missing based on what the guy showed me.
You aren't helping my CAD affliction one bit Brad, but it's much appreciated. That thing looks fantastic
How could I say no to a friend who has enabled my locust mania the past few years. If you change your mind I could always refund your payment???
Moderating Brads having a hard time changing his avatar pic. Can you please make it this: j/k,, not kidding
Looks like it could use a little TLC but it should be quite a beast! At least you had the decency to photograph it on a Ford.
That bar has seen some things. One day I'll latch my paws onto a 90cc class saw and get to feel the power.
The bigger saws are heavy, but they really shine when you have to cut some big wood. I used to be a stihl guy, but now I run mostly husky.
Youre not missing much. I ran a 660 Stihl which is about the same CC and it was heavy. I ran 28 & 36 bars on one bucking some huge silver maple at my Disney cut. They have their place in the arsenal, but to use one all day bucking is not for me. I handed him my 500i which I run with a 20" bar and he couldn't get over how much lighter it was.
Longer bars really make a saw heavy. No wonder he liked the 500i with only a 20” bar. I have run several 660’s and was not really impressed. Ported is another deal. A good 372 will pull a good sized bar. I run a 24” on mine and love it. I do prefer my ported 350 for anything under 12-14” though.
I was just telling Eric the same thing, except I go to about 20-22" with mine. They are just so light and fatigue-free to operate. Above that it's the XS365sp that does the lions share. When you get into bigger wood, these 90's really reduce the amount of time it takes to process them (especially ported ones).
Eric had posted link so I picked it up for him. I didn't try starting it. It has compression, starts and runs but stalls and wont restart based on what the guy told me. Im thinking the "XP" stands for Xtra Pulls when starting.
I have picked up perfectly good saws that way. Turns out the people I got them from didn’t know how to start them. Check out the carb and get ‘er goin!
No embarrassment on my truck Thanks again Brad for facilitating this acquisition. Oh… and it started after half a dozen pulls!
