Prayers being sent

 

Well Steve died Thursday morning. It was a blessing. Wednesday he was in alot of pain. He asked his wife when he was going to die.
3 of my buddies and I sat with him for about 5 hours last saturday, while his wife stepped out. He may have gotten more than he bargained for as we all were (including him) laughing, hooting and hollering. When I went to see him Tuesday he was much more tired, restless and 2 shades more jaundice yellow. So I knew it would be soon. To say cancer sucks is a major understatement. I'll miss him like hell, but Im glad he is now at peace.

Took my grief out on some oak splits today.

Just letting the world know I may be a bit ornery right now. Helping my wife recover from a mastectomy. She had 2 cancer surgeries back in 2021/2022 and this year it came back. Decided to take off the right side. Thankful I have the wood to burn to keep her comfortable.

 

Prayers for your wife and for you. My wife finishes chemo next month following her mastectomy last October. I know what a challenge this is for both of you.

The sad news kept coming Monday morning. 3 folks that I knew personally passed away and another that was the brother of a very good friend. Please say a prayer for the families of Sherri Hollie, Jim Souter, Samantha Zimerla and Tim Fowler.
Sherri was the mom of 2 kids I went to school with, met her a few times.
Jim was the brother of our very good friends, Voyne and Claire Souter. We help them with yard work, cutting pines around their house and dinner partners very often.
Samantha was killed in a car wreck Sunday night. Her 34 yr old daughter was driving and lost control. Her ex worked with me for over 20 years and our kids went to school with theirs. Craig said they had finally gotten to get along better...so sad...
Tim was a Vietnam veteran, a sniper. He was like my "other" brother, kept me out of trouble in my younger days, we loved to stop by for a visit and he loved when Miz Carol would bring him a cherry cheesecake...and he didn't share any...lol...
I will truly miss him.

 

Keeping you T.Jeff Veal and Miz Carol in our prayers. Grieve can be over whelming.
