    I've left my Isocore maul out as well, and haven't noticed any fiberglass issues. That would definitely be miserable to deal with.

    The Fiskars clearing hatchet and X7 hatchet are handy tools I own and use often. I had their lopping shears but they went MIA somewhere. :emb:

    The X-7 is a good tool. It's easy to keep sharp, light to carry, but heavy enough to drive wedges on the rare occasion that I fall trees.
    I started this conversation wondering if I could rationalize getting a 6lb Isocore maul. I got one, but haven't used it much. Sadly I don't hand split much since I got a Split-Fire.
