1C/34F with a chance of snow flurries or rain, and some 20-30 mph wind to make it feel even warmer

First fire of the season. Only 48 out, not that cold at all but there’s been little sun to warm the house and rains coming. I’m burning the punkiest wood I’ve ever burnt. Usually would toss this in the burn pit but it was dry,,,,so why not try it out :)

As expected burns fast with little heat but that’s fine in this weather.

I’m lighting fires in the evening. How many pieces varies. These 24” splits just fit and last very long. Chestnut(white) oak.
