Finally finished up the new wood shed last weekend so now I can begin loading her up for this years burning season. The row way in the back was 3yr-4yr old oak & was first on my list to get moved.

Once that back row was moved, my next goal was to relocate my old wood shed into a spot I had picked out but in order to do that I had to two seasoned face cords that needed to moved into the new wood shed.

She's finally starting to look full

I still need to top her off and load up the front patio, but I'll save that for another day as I was starting to get exhausted.

Being this shed faces westerly and a lot of incoming weather I wanted to make sure it was covered a bit. Unfortunately I had limited space to make this shed so it's a bit shallow. It was a compromise between size and location, we wanted to keep it close as possible to the house the way our old setup was before the deck was put in.

Never much fun playing what I call "musical firewood", but it has to get done and in this case well worth it.

SWEET new shed Chuck! Look forward to seeing lots more pics of it in future posts.

    Great work Chuck!
We all know first and foremost- when it comes to heating with firewood- you do the work and reap the rewards… careful and thorough planning plus a bunch of physicality on many levels- the results warm the soul!
    Happy heating!!!

Using our very own FHC resources cord calculator, it's smack dab on 2cords
