I'm not sure? Are they 6-7" chunks/end cut offs/nasty knotty fat pieces?

49° on the way down to 33° projected for overnight.
First fire of the season. Feels like mid August in the house right now, but I’ll be happy tomorrow morning.

It begins! My neighbor and I both fired up the boilers this afternoon. Got a mix of pure seasoned wood. I am woefully behind on wood. Tomorrow morning i will scavenge limbs and logs and begin css in earnest.

Finished mowing about 6:30 and brought some wood up on the patio. Was going to light a fire but it is 74 in the upstairs so changed my mind, probably just let the boiler kick on in the morning a bit.

Season begin report from the swamps of Anne Arundel. .. Mild frost (35f) Fri & Sat, but no hard freeze yet. First fire Friday evening, maple, oak, misc. junk. Beautiful 59f sunshine today, and burned some more. Plenty of below freezing on the Virginia side, but we are always milder here in the lowlands.
Heat pump filling in the blanks. House has gone quite chilly past couple weeks.
