38° last night, 35° tonight. October is fast ending, and we have not had a frost. Burning pine & gritzer wood
I've had three or four first inside in the stove so far. Currently burning ash. 40° outside. 77° in the stove room.
27 Had traces of snow the other day. Nothing that accumulated-just enough to identify it as it collected on your sleeves before melting almost immediately.
Not as cold as expected. 37 degrees. No doubt because of cloud cover. Some freezing rain in Wisconsin showed on radar.
The odd cut-offs, the cookie from the end of the log, small chunks that are difficult to stack. The Gnome Home, a shipping box that tile came in & a roof made from random scrap
The jet stream is doing battle with the cold, so we had a pleasant overnight/morning. Sitting at 7C/44F, pine kindling only to chase the chill away.
Good morning from a very frosty Muskoka, in central Ontario, clear skies as the sun rises this morning, temp is -3c/27f heading up to 8c/46f, it's going to be a good day working around the homestead, getting ready for winter, Enjoy your day everyone!
