Friend of ours down the road had some Beech trees taken down and asked if I wanted the wood. The guy that did the work dropped them off after cutting them! Didn’t realize how much there would be! Very thankful for them thinking of us. Doesn’t get much better than that!
Thats a sweet score. Free beech dropped off and nice logs to boot. Ill take beech any day. Sadly with the beech bark disease and leaf wilt we'll be losing a lot of them in our area as a result. Time for Mike13
Beech seems to be a hard to come by wood here in Southern Indiana. Finally got a small load maybe a face cord size this summer. The trees I see I keep a eye on incase they ever die or blow down
