According to this crack smoker its a 250r. I thought it looked similar to the old air cooled version. SHINSEI HONDA DUST RUNNER 250R REMOTE CONTROL THREE WHEELER RADIO ELECON | eBay
Pretty much...the SX just had a bit smaller wheelbase, more suspension travel, did not come with racks (could be added though) and it didn't have the lil 12V outlet to plug your fancy lil handheld Hondaline spotlight into, like the BR did
I had a Big Red , It was well used when I got it ; and I mean "well". Then next was one that was more of a motocross version, but I don't remember what model it was, but the plastics were white, also used but a huge step up from Big Red.
I wouldn't call that cheap (fair?) as the base 200 wasn't one of the models that people still pine over a ton...the real hot models are the '85-'87 ATC 250R, 350X, and the 200X to some degree...the 250SX and Big Red still gets some love if they are in nice shape too...
Sounds like he's trying to get rid of a problem. New OEM rebuilt carb and it still doesn't run right......
Those things are dead simple...if it's not running right, chances are the carb still isn't right...I wouldn't be afraid of it (if I wanted an old ATC 200 that is)
Maybe...if so then someone was screwing with it or something, that engine is not known for needing valves messed with much (Hondas in general)
Huh...unusual. I had a 1986 XL250R...I would right around town with the guys cruising on crotch rockets...they thought I was a dork on my "dirt bike", until they found out I could ride a wheelie just about as far I wanted...including going the whole way around McDonald's on rear tire only, that sealed the deal, I was a cool dork then Yup, hard to start too!
