Hello everyone, poplar/spruce/ pine Just above freezing during the day Also just plumbed in and in-line fan with the intake right above our stove. It is pushing 35c heat into the furthest corner of our home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Getting closer to the start of the burning season but still not there yet. Forecast shows lows in the low 30's or upper 20's later this week so I'll probably turn it on then. I've been making one boiler run a day for DHW for a while now, mostly burning ash and cherry.
48 for the low. 50 now. Rain overnight but not sure how much. Got 2.1" Sunday. Goodbye drought. Rain forecast through Thursday.
Some surrounding areas got a few inches last week but it didn’t stick around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
42⁰ in Dixie this morning, 66⁰ inside. Built a small fire this morning because I can...a few hickory sticks, splitter trash and 2 blocks of some type evergreen (spruce, white pine...) on the bottom
It was 40 outside this morning. Still enough residual heat from the stove from last night to keep it 74 inside.
Split a huge mess of kindling yesterday and brought in a wheeler of firewood to the garage. Broke into the high 30's again last night (only second time). Big block of rain and overnight temps in the low to mid 40's for about a week ahead for us. Damp and cold so maybe a first fire. Depends on how cold the Wif feels! Have noticed a few skeins of geese and ducks heading south and heard a large owl last night. The year progresses!
Break in burn for the season tonight. Cleaned chimney. Gonna be outta town next few nights a s wife will need to burn ( getting down in lower 30s) Wanted to run a fire tonight to make sure stove was ready for her
