Scrounged this at the dump last year thinking it was apple and put it aside to sell as smoker wood. I just pulled it from storage to make up bags of chunks and am now not sure. It looks like apple, but the heartwood is pinker than normal and the dried split is heavier? Any ideas FHC? I don't want to sell the wrong thing. DSCF0243.JPG DSCF0244.JPG DSCF0246.JPG

What you have doesn’t look like any apple I’ve cut, which is probably half a dozen different varieties by now. I agree with Chud’s prunus genus conclusion.

Thanks guys! :handshake: The two guys I can depend on for IDing came through again. Have a 25lb+bag of chuggets going up for sale.

I think I have some regular sized splits of the same mixed in with the apple at storage. Ill have to dig those out too.

Well the Plum sold. :makeitrain"Maybe 35lbs of chunks. Messaged one of my smoker regulars and he took it. Headed to the dump shortly and will check the brush area.
