My 192t has been acting up. It starts fine and runs for a few minutes and then quits. If I let it sit for 20 minutes, it will run for a few minutes. If I let it sit for only 10 minutes, it won't run as long. I am thinking it may be a fuel problem not getting to carb. Could it be a partially plugged fuel filter? The longer it sits, more gas gets into the fuel line but when it starts, fuel isn't replaced fast enough to keep it running. Am I unto something or way off base?
Does your saw go unused for long periods of time? Do you use E10 gas? Yes I think you’re on the right path of a fuel issue. If it’s not the filter, or fuel line, it’s the carb.
I only use non-e gas. In all the years I have had the saw, this is the first time this problem has shown itself
I talked to my friend who works at the Stihl dealer and explained the problem. He thought it sounded like an electrical problem. I changed the spark plug and all is right with the world.
