    I'm at me brudder's, cutting some kind of birch. Grey or black. I do detect a bit of wintergreen scent, but not very strong.

    I dropped it right where we wanted it.

    Nice to know it's good firewood. It's all around here. Not much of it around my property in Mass.

    Yes yellow birch. I believe its comparable to black birch btu wise. I've seen them around here and maybe scored it 2-3 times.

    IME BTUs better than silver maple less than sugar maple
