22 ton vert/horz box Store beam and cylinder. I have been breaking a few bolts and pins on this 33 year old beam with the excavator pump, but man it beats man handling big rounds! I'm only cracking them in four pieces and will put them through the push-through splitter on cool days.

That's my ultimate goal! Breaking pins on that setup is definitely first world problems.

I'm betting you can find something to stuff in there that's tough enough to find the next weakest link...
    Nice setup

I'm betting the piston seals and backup rings give up the ghost next.

Neighbor bought a Split-fire version last spring and put it on his Bobcat mini ex. Said it’s the best way to split firewood, sitting in a seat having an adult beverage with the ac on and tunes playing. He splits boiler wood for 3 wood boilers on his family farm, 6 trailer truckloads each winter.
I’ve need to go check it out, and try it. Pretty sure I could get use to that for splitting big rounds into something manageable.

I had this on my forks on my Kubota MX5100, running the splitter with hoses run from the rear remote ports. That was better than wrangling the big rounds, but this is SO MUCH better!

I've been doing that for the past few years and it works good. A real back and knee saver. I doubt you would regret doing it. I bolted the fork pockets on mine so I could return it to a vertical/ horizontal configuration if I wanted to. At this point I don't see that happening. It is way too valuable as is, or even as was (when fork mounted).

ETA: I really like having the splitter off set to one side. It makes it way easier to make sure everything is lined up. I actually shifted my forks further to the left to make it even more visible.

My brother has one on the SS...it's nice for the Biggins, but lining things up to split would be MUCH faster mounted on an excavator! Even a backhoe...hmm...put wireless remote control on the backhoe and you could be in the SS feeding, and splitting both!
