I mowed Sunday for the first time in over a month. Alas, it has been so dry that I wasn't mowing grass, but piles of leaves.

I am on pace to mow leaves more times than I mowed since probably mid June. That is unless there is a sudden growth spurt from the supposed rain we may get.

I mowed Saturday and I imagine if someone took a video while I was mowing, I would have looked like Pigpen...riding around in a cloud of dirt!

I mowed at Kathy's uncle's Sunday evening and that's exactly what I looked like. Dust clouds everywhere

Finally raining here. Looks like inside work today. We had 2" of rain last night. We really need it. Hasn't rained here in over 3 weeks

Got started on the dining room window replacement job this morning. Nothing serious...just removed the trim and some fascia so I could get a better look at it. I've replaced 12 of them before but it's been long enough that I forgot how to do it. I think my memory is refreshed enough now.

It's a big one....like 105"x55". I'm taking Friday off and should have a couple guys around to help me get it into position.

Everything is still green around here. Since last Friday we have gotten 2.65 inches of rain. It is supposed to be dry for the next week.

It sprinkled for 15-20 minutes. Just enough to make everything look wet but not measurable. About 1/2 of the system's duration actually split around me :(

It has been way too wet for hauling firewood from the stacks.

Maybe I'll put some gravel down where it is most needed. Heck, most of it would just melt into the sod anyway!

Firewood room is just about full right now. There looks to be enough room for about one more cord.
