No CDL yet but I believe that it will be no problem at all to get. I'm kind of a license accumulator.
Boss man was just telling me that there's supposedly some way to get cdl in a week or two and I think he said something like $1k...they are looking to send the new kid. Last I heard it was $5-10k!
It cost the stepson $4500 2 years ago. And I think that is about the same as what the village paid to get our new guy licensed to drive the trash truck.
$6,500 for class A no restrictions in New Hampshire, slightly less if you go for automatic only restriction.
I know a tiny bit of spanish too. Enough to get by. Looking at houses in the areas suggested above has been pretty interesting. With selling my house here I actually have lots of choices. In my area, everything is pretty much a suburb. We can't shoot in the backyard. Where you folks are from, is the city pretty much the city and the rest is rural? Or do you have a huge suburb outside of the city lights all the way to the next city? Also having some discussions with the wife about just what kind of house she wants. All single level? Log cabin? cookie cutter or oddball? 2000 SF, 4000 SF? We have gardens and chickens and fruit trees now but is that the vision for the next 50 years? It help that the stock market is on a tear and lowering rates just feeds that.
Depends...the further you get out in the woods, the less you'll have of the neverending suburbs. We have the best of both worlds here, only about mile out of town, but surrounded by corn/hay/beans/cows, can pee off the porch and shoot from there too. Nearest neighbor is about 1000' away. Ohio has a lot (and growing) of land that has been locked up in an agricultural preserve agreement, which can include forestry too I believe.
Ditto 22 acres; neighbors got over 1,000 protected close to interstate; long driveway are a blessing and curse
I think what you really meant to say was that Canada has different gun laws than the US and that you don't agree with them. Yes, Canada has different gun laws and so do different other countries. That is not to say one is better or worse than the other just that somethings about them you don't like. Each country has decided what works for them in this regard and has learned to live with them.
I think he got it right, cause from his perspective, canada is a step backwards from the freedoms he gets to enjoy now. I don't see where he said one country was better than the other but if that's how you feel.....
