    Having a fire now that we're back home. Mosquitos are still here, but not quite as bad as they were last week.

    We were able to spend couple of hours outside after dark and not be bothered by mosquitoes.

    We went through a dolly of bark sheets yesterday.

    Had the smoker going so had firepit burning to start charcoal and kept it going.. Lumber scraps and buggy logs. DSCF0022.JPG

    Decided to take advantage of the cooler evening and burn up some brush and other stuff.
    This was sassafras that was cut and stacked uncovered 4-5 years ago. Pretty amazed at how well it held up. Only a bit of soft spots on the pieces touching the ground.

    I actually have to go do a little scrounging for some good firepit type wood. I hate burning splits for just an outside fire so I have been easing the pain a little by cooking a few steaks on the side. LOL

    And WOW does that picture make my yard look like a big bucket of "poop". Really it doesn't look that bad , but it isn't perfect either.
