I had a decently sized chunk of Maple come down in the woodlot last Winter and I’m finally getting the rounds hauled up to the stacking area. It is quite heavy but I managed to get quite a few of the rounds loaded into the trailer without splitting. I’ve got some big rounds left down there that will need to be broken up with the splitting maul in order to move them out of the brush. I’m kind of wishing I had taken the time to pull the log out with the portable winch before I cut it. I’m paying the price now for being lazy before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What's your opinion of that trailer? I got a Bannon/Gorilla. It's OK. Came with kinda junky tires. I see you have modified yours a bit with some uprights.
I’ve hauled a lot of firewood over the years with the trailer. The uprights keep the smaller stuff from rolling out between the rails. The supposed weak link on this trailer is the tongue, but so far it’s done all I need without issue. I noticed today’s pricing is a lot higher than when I purchased mine but I see most of the little atv trailers come with a pretty hefty price tag. Once in a while a used one will show up on the local Marketplace. I put a piece of plywood in because I didn’t know how well the wire mesh bottom would hold up. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Thank you. Always curious about different variations of these types of trailers. I use mine a bunch and will probably never be without one in the future. Interested to hear owners opinions of them.
