The manufacture says 3 cords an hour. I believe that possible, with one push of the ram per round cut and piled. We are splitting into a dump trailer, no sides is one cord and with sides is 2 cords. We are running a 3 person crew. One processor operator, one to keep the log deck loaded and one to manage the wood as it piles in the trailer and move it forward. If we are in perfect diameter wood with no resplits and firing on all cylinders 55 minutes has been our best 2 cord load. I would say 1:15 is our normal. Seems like we always have something small that burns time, usually more than one thing. And a slow day is 1:45 - 2 hours and something a little more major to undo. None of it has been equipment issues/down time. It's things like 2 logs went into the saw chute and having issues fishing one out. A log not sitting on the live deck and teetering off one side or the other. The typical wood yard fun. I hope this helps explain.

No sir, it's some extra heavy duty tarps we bought probably 10 years ago. We had attempted to cover logs for long term storage. Got 3 of those and 3 billboard signs.

Hello fellow firewood purveyors striving to stack Benjamin’s like a Nashville star.
I’ve had a steady trickle of early sales to return customers with one in queue. It’s been enough early sales to already have me worrying about having enough rtb for Feb. First winter with a dump truck for cord sales. If that takes off I will not have enough. If last winter’s top customers return I may stay off CL. Hoping all yall have great benjy stacking sales and the 01 F150 can make it through one more season.

Here's to a good selling season Jim. :woodsign: :makeitrain"

Do you have regulars that will buy more if they run out? Some of mine are like that and if its a colder Winter they will need more than usual. I have to have it on hand. If its late season and I have extra then I'll post it on FBM. After my latest fiasco I'm ready to quit selling on it. new customer who bought mulberry from me last year. I got a decent price plus delivery. Well she answered my ad again and wanted the same. Tells me this month anytime is good as she is on maternity leave. This was last week. I set up delivery for yesterday and spoke with the husband confirming they would be home yesterday afternoon. I loaded up Friday night. I get a text yesterday saying an emergency came up and he wanted to postpone until today and they have turned into ghosts. No reply to texts, calls or FBM.:heidi: Now I have a PU full of MB to restack at storage tomorrow morning.

Sorry for the rant, just venting.

Yes I have regulars that will buy every other week over the colder months. Sorry you have to restack. I had a few close calls last winter but found others to deliver to. Probably a bit more difficult with a $pecialty wood.

I have a guy that might be interested, but he isn't ready until next month and doubt he'd pay the price although he did buy some honey locust from me a couple years ago for a decent premium. I have more three year HL for him this year, until then my "exotic" mulberry firewood goes back on FB! :hair:

No worries, if The Great One has taught us anything, it's that when running low you can just buy some poor dumb schmucks premium inventory, stack it in your magical woodlot, take some fancy pics of it, then start stackin the Benji's!

I try to give folks the benefit of the doubt, but a simple text or call goes a long way. "hey Brad, had a medical emergency and cant take the wood until next week" would've gone a long way. I'd understanding and be empathetic. Probably grumbled at restacking. I mean society is glued to their phones these days. My skin has gotten a lot tougher over the past many months having to deal with FBM and this being the third time I'm ghosted on a confirmed sale.

She said she was on baby duty this month so I'll assume that's what it meant.
