The red pile to the left is the cherry, then the next two piles as you move right are the current oak piles. One for the smaller diameter wood and the other for bigger stuff that needs (or is smart to use) the log lift. And on the far right is the mixed hardwood pile which is done growing for now as I all I have to cut and split are oak logs.
Beautiful woodyard. I like the way you have rounds sorted. ? for you, how do y'all move the splitters when they sit across the row?
The iron and oak is easy enough to just move by yourself. The Timberwolf takes 2 people to move but 3 is much easier.
This is all that’s left from the last two semi truck loads. I hope to finish cutting the logs tomorrow.
Finished up around noon today. There were 3 big logs in that pile of piles. They were roughly 20-24” in diameter and about 16’ long. The grass only turned a little yellow under the one pile.
Wow, it’s been a a while since I last posted on this one. Opening up a lot of real estate. All caught up on deliveries after a 4 day weekend and zero rain outs on any weekend this fall. Still have a ways to go.
Looks great, my friend...err, wait a minute...that can't be right...we're just wannabe farwood sellers, remember......
Haven’t posted much here at all because I’ve been having too much fun in the other threads. November and December have been their usual busy self. Get all of my orders filled by Sunday afternoon, return to work Monday morning and by the time Friday rolls around I have a full weekend of deliveries scheduled. I don’t mind it except for yesterday. I was supposed to hunt until lunch time but we have 4-6” of snow forecasted and falling right now so I had to try to squeeze it all into Saturday so it was sun up to sun down. I also plow snow so I needed time to put the plow on and do a few estimates for driveways. Have a decent amount of jobs lined up for today so it was at least worth it.
