Saw this today at the Home Depot in Keene, NH. They were the green bags HD usually sells from what I could see at the lower part of one of the skids.

Those must be the Premium Plus (whatever that means, I've never gotten any of those and usually my HDs don't carry it).

All HDs in a 50 mile radius of me are showing are showing the left hand ones at $314/ton. I would guess some non-green flavor of GS.

The TSC about 4 miles away from me is the same price. Those whould be MWPs

I need to get a couple of tons just in case it is a hard winter (I think I have around 3 tons right now - I gotta check). The question is, do I use a 10% off coupon for HD and pay $567 plus delivery (which would probably be $85), or pay $600 and have to pick up every bag twice just to get them home and in my garage (because they don't have delivery or trailers)? Actually, it looks like I could get delivery for $70 for a ton.

If I get 2 tons delivered from TSC, it goes up to $799 for shipping

Or, I could go for the gusto and get 3 or 4 tons delivered from HD, and the 10% coupon would more than pay for delivery. I'd probably need to keep a couple of tons out in the yard, but I've done that before and everything was good.

This seems to be the low water mark around here this season.

I got 3 tons from HD $314.00 plus deliver(And tax on delivery charge) = $1026.02. Add that to the 2+ we had from last year. 268 bags for 2025 total. Holding off until Dec 1st before we flip the switch on the oil and go to pellet heat!! Will need approx another 150 gallons of oil to finish off the season. Furnace is more eco than pellet in the warmer parts of the season and I like having more than 1 option.
