My little helper, I have to say he 5, his 12 year old sister and 14 year brother have been great to work and spend time with. I’m certainly going to have fond memories, hope they do as well. IMG_4918.jpeg IMG_4914.jpeg IMG_4915.jpeg IMG_4917.jpeg

Last months trip down was my first to the UP, what a beautiful place. I want to see the area in color one fall. Maybe from a deer stand. I’m glad the smoke is subsiding for you. We have been busy. Just passed 41 hours today 43 cords and 400 bundles made. Had 3.7 hours when we got it. Doing all the resplits for the bundles eats time but is way easier than before.

If we are early it’s only a week or two at the most. I’m with ya Brad I like cold more than the heat. With all the waste why not toss it in the boiler. In the long run it save $$$$. There is some heating of the house at night, the big thing is the hot water for a family of 6. Bet we save $150 on the hot water bill.

They sure do, my oldest will be 17 next week. He is the IT person in the house. My daughter doesn’t mind helping but the 14 and 5 year olds want to be there. When I’m not at my normal profession those two are always with me.

You’re right it won’t be long now should have our first snow within the next 3-4 weeks. Fall is coming faster than any of us are ready for.

We are doing okay, how about you? Firewood side hustle with the boys is keeping us all busy. We have managed to get to Valdez for some fishing this summer. We have 2 more weekends to fish before moose season it turns winter during or just after.

For sure we need a bug kill event. Or highs are in a downward trend. I needs to get pics of the others, I get busy working and forget.
