    No. That’s perfectly normal insanity.
Just put the griddle together and seasoned it today. Hamburg is thawing :)

  That one cracked me up.

Could be a FHC slogan. That along with Sirchopsalot's "Wood hoarders are a special kind of crazy."

Nice. We've been wanting a Blackstone. The website is glitching though. What's the width on this one?

The above link is for the 28”. There’s also a Weber 36” on sale for $399 link included below.I also had a glitchy site which worried me enough to call my local ace and verify this was real and not some scam site. Biggest issue is it kept jumping back to a different store in a different town which raised red flags. When I did a separate search on a different tab for the Ace in my town it brought up the sale item as recently viewed. Anyway it turns out it was completely legit. Just make sure they’re shipping it to the store of you’re choosing. My Comcast Internet is always very glitchy so I have a hard time with everything. It cycles on, off, on, off or sometimes just off until I refresh a page and it’ll click back on.

FYI I don’t think these are the new Slate models. I think these are old stock pre seasoned griddles. I asked the Weber AI virtual assistant about seasoning for this specific model because it’s not raw steel and its response was even if it’s a Slate it should be seasoned three times.
I also asked if one should season the bottom of the griddle to help prevent rust. It said absolutely although I’ve found no manufacturer that suggests it and most internet users laugh at the idea. I did both.
I took a pic of the griddle before seasoning in case a live individual wanted to see. I was wondering if they were tossing Slate griddles in the boxes because they ran out or maybe by mistake. This is what it looks like out of the box after washing the oil off with Dawn. It still beaded up like crazy rinsing it. To be honest I don’t think it would need to be seasoned further but I did anyway and the directions call for it. It’s not raw steel that’s for sure.

Nice guys , I have a blackstone and love it so sure you will be the same for those.
2 lbs of bacon going on shortly , best part is buy the time you finish laying the strips out the first one is ready to flip.

Hope you have great luck with them.

Extended family member has the blackstone griddle for a few years now. Really enjoys it and have never heard him say anything negative or remorseful about buying it.

On sale like that is def the way to do it! I found my Blackstone at Walmart a few years back and it was highly discounted like that and I couldn't figure out why except they wanted it gone. But, my bro has done the same with TVs and such at Walmart. Real bargains he has found sometimes.

My problem with using my Blackstone is I usually am cooking only for me. If I am with my gf, it is at her house. I never entertain anymore. Now, my George Foreman grill that I found on sale, I use that thing all the time. Cooks bacon great, for one thing.

If one is going to cook a lot of food, hard to beat these large griddles. Maybe I should take it to gf's house!

I resisted the rice pots. I resisted the air fryers. I am resisting the stand alone griddles as well.

Scratch that idea. Lexus needed a new alternator. $360 and a total pain later, :emptywallet:.

I learned how to cook rice from an old cajun. I can make rice in a regular pot better than 95% of all humans. No need for a rice pot.

My cast iron griddle was worth every penny, and my air fryer is not far behind the griddle.
