Hi all, I know it's been a minute. I tend to post random things and show up unannounced but I'm still in the game though. Quite frankly, I've been moving on from places in the last decade and we're hoping to move again. My honey and I bought a place next to a former dairy and while we have been holding firm for the last 3 years, time has come to move on, we're hoping near my parents. I'm reaching 40 and I realize that I'm not full of the gas I once was. Sleeping in a small bed for the last few years could have some effects on this. Anyways, the People of WA must be picky about dunnage. I posted this pile and for free, usually I would have heard replies but no. They must not like it. I make posts like this because it has been my bread and butter, being easy to process. The dimensional wood is common around my area and I'm having to gut out my "junk", so to speak.... What a wonderful term for your 'unwanted' wood. Granted there are some roofing/panels in this pile, give me grace. I'm moving a dump site of a tree line that's more than 100 feet of various piles of limbs and whatnot which I haven't got pictures of and these are my kick-outs. I know what they are in terms of species but I can't expect to take all of this with me when this pile is a paltry example of the piles that exist within the background to the left . Yes, even those are for sale.
Most of this stuff I would have used for building but I can't bring myself to toss to the dump. Might have to cut it up and take it elsewhere. Can't burn outside yet either. With no wood stove here, I've been collecting rounds to split for my parents and I'll haul over soon. Finally started to cool down and rain yesterday too. At least this stuff isn't chemical treated.
Hey FatBoy85 didn't you buy a kioti tractor awhile back? Can't remember if that was you or not for sure. If so, what size and whats your review of it now? Good to hear from you.
Not me but the lady did buy a New Holland, 2009 T2310 of the Boomer Series. It's been a great help as I used to feed a lot by shovel and hand lift bins for animals. I still do but this thing has taken the bulk of that job. We've had it I believe 6 months now and it has been well worth it. No tools came with it though other than the bucket but I'm looking for a post hole digger/auger once I see one in the right price range. Thank you for asking! The tractor was a long-awaited tool, especially when I'd need to feed in the dark. Spent grain gets heavy in a 32 gallon bin! Hope the tractor fellow you're looking for chimes in.
Great to hear from you again! I hear you about keeping stuff that will be useful in the future. My plan is to use a bunch of wood that my father and grandfather kept to make into an enclosed hunting blind with a roof on it for deer hunting. I'm sick of being out in the elements and what some more comfort.
I've got a hard time throwing wood away, ya know. Especially when it's long enough to make things like sheds and other structures but this isn't even the nicest stuff I've got. Being here reminds me it's got a place but I've gotta remind myself that I've got chances to get more later when we're all moved in at the new place. Good to hear from you as well.
