Even with all of the cherry I’ve been working on, regular processing still moves on. The two piles together are oak and are now 75’ long while the single pile is mixed hardwood and is about 45’ long. Headed to Vermont tomorrow but my guys will still be working some. This will be the first day without doing at least something firewood related in 5 weeks. Looking forward to the break.

Enjoyed a nice 5 day break while in Vermont but the piles still grew while I was gone. Picture taken from the older end of two oak piles but one is 70’ and the other is up to 90’. We got started on splitting the “cherry score” today.

I definitely have enough logs to keep me busy now until school starts back up after getting a couple semi loads.

That'll keep you busy for sure. Hopefully the decent weather holds up. When do you go back Joe?

That's some nice piles of Goldilocks logs. Happy cutting.
Wish our schools started back after Labor Day, like when I was in school. Grandkids started Aug 1st. But they get several more days off throughout the year and usually out by late May.

Started cutting poles this morning. Hope to have the pile on the right done by Tuesday.

Only worked until 11 this morning due to a big family cookout and swim party and it was in the low 80’s but humid at the time.

Only 5 logs left in the pile to the right. Will be able to finish that up in no time tomorrow. Was downright chilly cutting wood today. Not sure if it’s ever going to hit 70 today.

That's a lot better than what it has been. Wish we had 70⁰ today, our high was 94⁰ with almost 60% humidity. We had a big yard to cut and didn't start until about 11AM...

Dont complain! :heidi: Better than sweating profusely.

I'm doing an all dayer :saw: on Wednesday so I hope it continues.
