Just went out onto the deck to check the humidity and this odd moustache shaped leaf caught my attention. I'm pretty sure I know what it is or what it should be. App users have at it.

appears to be an aberration and based on the veining more likely tulip than, say, sassyfras tulip is also prone to that black mold from aphids feeding on them
It is tulip (yellow) poplar. Small tree a few feet away among others in the bordering woods. Don't know if its a freak of nature, a normal anomaly, but the first time I've seen one like.
