_________ ___________ the story of my life. Winner gets all the smoked brisket they can eat at the spring GTG here in April. You must be present to win. Here's a couple more log yard pics.
Yes, this is a bit tongue in cheek lol. My good friend at the tree service will often take my dump trailer to a job with nice trees on it, load it and I just pick up at his place. Gets him an extra trailer, and I get some pretty nice logs. His Dingo will only lift so much obviously, so I get some pretty short pieces. I prefer 8' to 12' feet as I cut my boiler wood at 24". That being said, for free Oak & Hard Maple I can work around the shorter logs. The two piles in the bottom pics were all tornado damage from a town 10 miles SW of me in May. He spent four days just clearing hazard trees so people could tarp roofs and access their homes & buildings. I think I hauled 10 or 12 trailer loads for him that week. At one point I think we had 8 dump trailers running. Lots of good firewood, but it came at a pretty high price for the folks in the direct path. By the Grace of God there were no injuries at least. Plenty of property damage though.
Uh oh Adam! Start saving for that briskit. Skeeter knows his way around a smoker judging by his pics.
